Greece’s health authorities announced that there were only ten new coronavirus cases on Monday and no deaths. This is the second consecutive day that no new fatalities have been recorded in the country.
The total of infections since the start of the outbreak in the country amounts to 2,726.
So far, of the total infections, 607 (or 22.3 percent) are traced to traveling abroad and 1,374 (50.4 percent) to known cases exclusively within Greece.
Thirty-two hospitalized Greeks are currently intubated. The average age of these victims is 67 years old and twelve of them are women. Nearly all (96.9 percent) have an underlying illness or are over 70 years of age. Another 87 have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of fatalities since the beginning of the outbreak total 151 (and only 37 were women). The average age of the deceased was 74 years and 93.4 percent of these individuals had some underlying illness and/or were 70 years of age or more.
In total, 99,363 tests for the virus have taken place in Greece.
