“Nuclear terrorism is a risk that we should not ignore,” says our Director General, Yukiya Amano.

Today an important step to bolster ‪#‎nuclear‬ security around the world was taken as the ‪#‎UnitedStates‬ ratified the Amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material — a vital tool in reducing the risk of nuclear ‪#‎terrorism‬.

Only 14 more countries needed to adhere to the Amendment to bring it into full legal force.
