A large asteroid, 162882 2001 FD58, approximately 1 kilometer in diameter, will pass close to Earth on February 14 at a distance of several million kilometers. This is the largest asteroid in the last 12 months to enter the 7.5 million kilometer zone, beyond which celestial bodies are considered potentially hazardous. The probability of a collision is estimated at zero. Astronomers also noted asteroid 2013 TP4, approximately 10 meters in diameter, for which the probability of a possible impact on October 1, 2026, is approximately 1 in 45,000.
