You may have heard that the Juno spacecraft entered safe mode on October 18th when a software performance monitor induced a reboot of the spacecraft's onboard computer. The exact cause for this is still under investigation.
On October 24th Juno was sent instructions to exit safe mode and did so successfully. Additionally its smaller thrusters fired for a little over 31 minutes to perform a trim maneuver. Juno will now perform its next science flyby of Jupiter on December 11th, with time of closest approach to the gas giant occurring at 9:03am PDT (12:03pm EDT).
"Juno exited safe mode as expected, is healthy and is responding to all our commands,” said Rick Nybakken, Juno project manager from _NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. "We anticipate we will be turning on the instruments in early November to get ready for our December flyby."
