Meet Sh 2-106, a compact stellar nursery in Cygnus also known as the Celestial Snow Angel. At its heart, a massive infant star still wrapped in dust blasts twin jets of scorching gas into the surrounding cloud. A dark ring of debris around the star pinches those outflows into a glowing hourglass—blue-hot lobes unfolding against cooler red gas only a couple of thousand light-years away.
