JunoCam caught this razor-sharp view during Juno’s historic flyby of Jupiter’s icy moon. The surface looks like a shattered frozen world: ridges, troughs, and dark bands carved by tectonic stress and Jupiter’s crushing gravity.

That cracked, cantaloupe-textured crust hides something far more interesting. Beneath it sits a global saltwater ocean that may contain twice as much water as all of Earth’s oceans combined. Image: NASA/JPL-Caltech/SwRI/MSSS
