Οι The Doors ήταν αμερικάνικο ροκ συγκρότημα το οποίο δημιουργήθηκε το 1965 στοΛος Άντζελες. Το όνομά τους προέρχεται από το μυθιστόρημα "Οι Πύλες της Ενόρασης" (αγγλ. "The Doors of Perception") του Άλντους Χάξλεϋ. Το συγκρότημα κυκλοφόρησε έξι επιτυχημένους στούντιο δίσκους μέχρι το 1971, όταν ο Μόρισον βρεθηκε νεκρός στο διαμέρισμα του στο Παρίσι. Τα υπόλοιπα μέλη συνέχισαν ως τρίο μέχρι 1973.
